Miniscrew or Miniplate
A Miniscrew or Miniplate can be used for anchorage during orthodontic treatment with fixed appliances. Extra oral anchorage such as a headgear, can be avoided if miniscrews or miniplates are used. These Temporary Anchorage Devices (TAD’s) require a minimal invasive procedure and they can be removed without anesthesia when they are not required any longer in the orthodontic office. Hero Breuning has over 6 years experience in the efficiënt use of TAD’s and treated over 500 cases with selfligating appliances and TAD’s. The assistance of maxillofacial surgeons can be needed. Treatment time can be reduced, results of treatment can be improved if TAD´s are used. The need for surgical correction during orthodontic treatment can also be reduced.
